The greatest weakness for a necron army is it's phase out, and although some would say their lack of long range or lack of variety.
But as for phase out, what are some good amounts of (necron) models to include to avoid phase out? I've drawn up so many army lists, and one question that keeps coming up is how many is a good number to avoid phase out, at 1850 pts. 45? 50? 60? 40 warrios or 50? Wraiths over scarabs for that extra boost?
I was wondering how large armies you have used and how often you get phased out. Thank you for the replies.
30 warriors is plenty, since it wil use up 3 troopchoice slots and it gives you a solid core of warriors.
In a 1500 point game, I use 36 warriors to avoid phas out. I don't even begin to employ non-necron units except for the scarabs and maybe the occasional tomb spyder. 1850 points I use 40+ warriors, for a total of around 60 Necrons or more. The best way to avoid phase out is to come with warriors, lots of em, and destroyers for backup.
