Right, I've gone for a red armour colour....yes a dark red armour colour for the army with a black under garments, which will be highlighted grey.
My question is however, about markings. What are Farsights army markings? As I'll need to put it somewhere on my other models. I can't really see out on the models pictures or in the dex.
The theme I'm going for is a force thats pieced together by members from pretty much all the septs, I.E Farsights followers led by a Shas'El whos maybe not as blood thirsty as they make Farsight out to be.
Would I then just put the individual sept markings on their helms? With maybe squad numbers on the bottom part of the big shoulder pad?
This then brings me on to my next question....I don't want to donate squad leaders by there sept colours? (Ice Blue or Scorpion Green would look rather silly on them I think) So I'm thinking just having that middle bit of the big shoulder pad white. Does anyone else think that would look ok? Keeping in mind that the armour is a fairly darkish red.
if you look on the Tau transfer sheet you get with most Tau boxed sets, you can see his badge. Its the white circle, with the black T shape, and red circle on top of that. Its the same mark as on Shovah's sheild iirc

OMG, I'm going to love painting that over and over and over and over and over and over.....well you get the point XD
Tis a good thing Vallejo paints are better than GW ones then isn't it XD
I have allready done that. On all my fire warriors I have filed away the Fire-caste marking on the shoulderpad and painted O'shovah markings instead....it took a while, but it's reall yworth it. If you want to save some time I have found that you can paint it with a black pen...
Aye, but I think I'll maybe fill the Tau symbol with GS instead then smooth it off. Then paint...that might be easier.
The squad I'm working on at the minute doesn't have that though as this squad is a test squad to see what colours work etc. But the rest of my models are mostly built and await this GS work now
