Want to start Tyranid, total horde army

hey guys, I love the idea of a horde army and would like to do tyranids. I guess I like the idea of about 200+ models on the field. Tell me where to start. I'm not a newbie to the game, just to tyranids. Thanks.

If you want a horde gaunts is the place to start. They can be very cheap and can also be given without number so they will keep on reappearing as your enemy destroys them.
Gaunt + spinefist + without number = 8 points. Or you can just have the cheaper 5 point spinegaunt. A spinegaunt is a gaunt with spinefists.

Rippers are another idea but in this case it's not the number of models but the number of wounds. 10 points per base gives you 3 wounds but beware of blast markers and str6 instant death.

Also Biovores can produce spore mines theoretically an unlimited number that is if your game lasts for eternity and no one ever kills the Biovores. Spore mines are models too but Biovores are abit pricey in points compared to gaunts and spore mines will explode as quickly as you fire them but thats the point isn't it.
