Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was wondering how you get TL devourers onto your (walking) hive tyrant because the hive tyrant box doesnt come with any devourers. So if anyone could tell me how the best way to get some devourers on the tyrant would be nice
You can order the sprue that comes with the carnifex. Right from the gamesworkshop site, or if you have spares and don't mind the super tiny arms on the termagant sprues you could probably convert those. ( i personally recommend ordering the sprue from the carnifex, you may need 2 depending on how many you want.Originally Posted by Himamy
ok then thx for your help
You could try to convert one. Take either the venom cannon or barbed strangler and cut off it's gun barrel which is the part which distinguishes it as a specific weapon.
Then cut off several devourer gunbarrels from your Gaunts and Tyranid warrior biomorph sprues. It's the bit which looks like a cone.
Now stick them to the end of your larger bio-weapon and fill in the gaps with green stuff.
If you stick on enough of them it should look like a twinlinked devourer.
The larger size and differing appearance will simply make it an more interesting model.
That's not a bad idea if you already have the termagant sprues. Could save some dollars.
Check out my 4 Devourer winged Tyrant on the gallery section of this very forum, you can see that I have various arm sections and converted them with devourer barrels(if you can call em that) , I also converted the lower arms to incorperate scything talons, even though they do not give an extra attack it gives him the appearence of being able to fight in an assault or take out tanks etc. I used the spare arms from my warrior sprues and bulked them up slightly with green stuff.Originally Posted by jackofasses
