Welcome to Librarium Online!
hey can some1 tell me y most people dont do necrons and y they dont like playin against them thnx
People don't play necrons because they are a bit of a boring army when compared to the others.
Its doesn't have namy playing styles and there is little to no room for conversion, each squad has no variety. Necrons don't really let you give your army that 'personal touch'.
I don't see why people do not like playing against necrons, its not like they use starcannon rape or anything, they are a balanced army, the only thing I can think of is the monolith, some people consider it cheesy due to its extreme resilience.
death is only the beginning, a friendly notice, it is easier to read your posts if you do not use netspeak (some1, y etc), that and netspeak is sort of frowned upon.
Just a friendly notice
ok i wont do it next time thanks
I also just thought, necrons have a reputation for being a beginner's army, so a lot of people shun them because of that.
i do not like playing crons as i realy don't like the phase out rule its a bit of a stupid rulebut it balnces out the armys good/bad points i s'pose.
ye when i play thats how i lose. In one game i only needed to kill one more thing and i would have won but he kill a necron and that was it for me.
Yeah, necrons don't do heroic last stands.
However, without phase out they would be rubbish, WBB is an absolutely brilliant ability.
I play necrons because I love the models and the fluff, thats what drives me in the hobby.
necrons are my first and only army the one thing that made me go for them are the models and there story.+ there weabons
Exactly, they are really cool, so I have no idea why people claim they are boring.
My experience has been that people cry cheese on Necrons when they first find themselves utterly bowled over by a Monolith, C'tan, massive phalanx of Destroyers, etc., or when they don't take crazy things like We'll Be Back or Phase Out into consideration. Once a given player learns the two basic rules of fighting against the army ("Kill Warriors" and "ignore non-necron units"), they tend to be less hostile. A friend of mine once slaughtered a Necron army to the man (no chance to even invoke Phase Out) on one of his first games against them, since he's a very decent player. Tau players have a little bit more to complain about, since Necrons tend to butcher them in a straight-up fight; they're about the only army that Necrons utterly destroy in close combat.
It deserves special mention that the Necrons' reputation as a beginner army is well-deserved, but not for any latent overpoweredness. It's just that they're easy to paint and have very, very few options for models and units. The same lack of versatility that makes people yawn with boredom is great for helping new players to understand how the game works before they jump into a more complex army where they actually have to worry about which heavy weapons and special options they're going to use for their various units. I've started with Necrons because what I ultimately want to do is Chaos - one of the most variable armies in the game.
