    Hi Brothers

What do you think of a Ripper Swarm heavy army of 6 units of 10 each ?

    Any suggestions ?

Yeah, against armies with alot of multi-shot S6 weapons or S6 close combat attacks, the Rippers will quickly die. The one saving grace is that most armies probably won't specialise their weapon choices to a large degree. Well, maybe Eldar might. Star Cannons are great against everything that Tyranids have. . .

It's been pointed out in the past that 60 Rippers still leaves plenty of points for a very good army, but basic Rippers are quite slow, so they aren't a threat until late in the game. This leaves plenty of time to kill the tougher units in your army before the Rippers get any attention. Boost the Rippers so that they're faster (Leaping or Wings) and you have less points for the bigger stuff.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

I like them, use them with leaping and additional strength.

Rippers used in such numbers will work well as a distraction either because the enemy is afraid of so many and will think they are more dangerous than they are or they will think those Tyranid, baby, larval eating machine things are pathetic, ha-ha now they will all die and point this out again and again as he blasts them with everything he has.
Of course some people will know exactly how dangerous they are.

The only way to make this method work is to make sure you attack quickly with other Tyranids. Winged Tyrant and winged Warriors would do it along with whatever else is at hand.
If enough Rippers reach his army the swarms can mush up quite alot.

rippers and sinapse? why? those rippers does not benefit from anti-instantkill nor need sinapse to go ahead. Why will you put the rippers near a synapse creature?
