Updated 5/12 with more pics.
So I decided to start a Ork army, I will chart my progress partly for motivation and partly because its fun. So far I only own one box of Ork boyz but am having alot of fun converting em and painting. I am not going to rush em seening as I have three 40K armies already but will post progress every couple of days.
This guy here is the insperation for the army and the test model for its paintjob. I was painting umm another army when I got bored and spied him on my desk collecting dust. Next thing you know hes done and I am happily converting my new army heh.
For the rest of my guys I will just post links because I figure that is better? Question, does anyone mind if I post alot of straight pics I am new to this kind of thing.
These are the guys I assembled on day one.
That same day I painted the first one I put together and this is how he came out.
That brings us to yesterday where I painted two more guys and cleaned and primed the rest. I wont post the primed ones because they just the ones you already saw just black heh.
Well let me know what you think. I am having alot of fun with the army so far, also I plan to give the Nob a PK once I get one.

I really like them, the runnig poses are awsome. Did u dip them in that brown varnish stuff to give them shading?
It looks quite shiny thats why im asking!
Sort of I got a mix of mineral spirits and the dip stain that I wash them in when I get done painting them.
As far as the shine I will make that go away after I base and seal them. It takes a while for the wash to dry so thats what I am waiting for.
They look great! The poses and the paint jobs are very unique. How did u make your orks running like that? Im wondering because they look so good i want to do them on my next batch of boys!
Hahahahahahahaha! Dude you are going to kick youself when I tell you how easy it is.
First you get two pairs of legs one leaning to the right one leaning to the left. I do this next step one leg at a time so I dont get mixed up. Cut both left feet off and then swap em. Then to the same with the right set. So now you got the feet from one set of legs on the other and vise versa.
When you go to glue him on the base he will be leaning to far forwar but a little work with a file will sort that right out.
So I have been hard at work, I finished two more of the boyz and as soon as I get them based and sealed I will post some good pics.
Until then I figured I would post some sneak peeks at the new boyz I have assembled and GSed. One of them is me first Nob woot?!
And a couple more of the Turkk Boyz.
So I been hard at work here is a WIP shot of my new Trukk. I imagine the gunner got to exicted and ripped the BS off the mount.
I got more done and if anyone is intrested ill post it.
Very nice and characterful. I love those simple yet very expressive conversions!!

I like the Big Shoota boy, looks like he's eager to "attempt" to shoot some beakies.
