    Hey one and all
I am trying to get ready for a RTT 1500 pts and Im down to one more selection here is my army this far that I am very happy with

Shaso and bodyguard-plasma rifles, fusion blasters, and drones (These guys are awesome)

3 units of 12 firewarriors, one unit has a devilfish

    2 broadsides

    Hammerhead with railgun

Now heres where I am perplexed  should I take a 6 man squad of stealth suits or should a I take a decked out crisis suit team with plasma rifles and missile pods. I am interested in any viewpoints and if you want to rail on my army go for it. Thanks for any advice you can give.
    Thanks

    Tau Army

Id go with Crisis. They are the main stay of ur army, and where all your fire power is located. Plus, u could always have 2 cdrs for tau i tink, since hq limit is 2 and there is no limit on the number of cdrs u can have

Thats an interesting point. The 36" range for the missile pods is a definete plus. Using them as a second command group would be an interesting ploy. Im not sure though if that might hurt me in points for army composition. Ill have to thihnk about it.

Thanks for your respnse. My only worry about your army is that the crisis are a good dump of points and you have no protection for them. For every lascannon that hits you your going to lose a suit. You need some drones for fodder I think. I notice my list is thinner than yours. My 1 crisis suit unit(3 guys) my HQ to your 7 suits. I do have 3 squads of firewarriors, one with a devilfish and you have 2 units both with devilfish. Neither of us took fast attack but then you were able to squeeze in 2 hammerheads to my one and have 3 broadsides to my 2. I would love to see how our two armies played against each other. YOu have alot of tanks which I like. But I do need a more balanced army selection for the RTT ie number of troops equals or is greater than number of elites, fast attack, and heavy support. This is hard to do with a Tau army but I have worked it out. I still cant decide.

    points

the crisis my take up a few more points, but on a 1500 point battle or higher, definately take the second commander.

else, juss take the crisis suits as another elities, even though they may cost many more points than stealth, they are much more useful. and shots, use drones. They cannot manage to shoot so many lascannons at you that u loose all the drones in your squad and loose ur battle suits.

Heavy support should depend on the type of army ur fighting against. Tank strong army is obviously railguns whereas armies that have lots of strong infantry but not 2+ save type, u would take ion cannons to really boost up your hitting power

    Thanks for your input.
I wont really know who I am playing till I get there so I need to keep my army flexible thats why I have taken 2 broadsides and a hammerhead with railgun for both options though I have consdered switching in my hammerhead with ion cannon instead cause it would be useful against all those chaos and space marine players.
    Hrmmm Still cant decide.

Well I do have two gun drones per squad but i really on keeping them in cover away from laz cannons, so when i do get hit by a laz cannon the two drones will take the first hits. I did have a squad of 8 gun drones in the list but I was adding it up and saw that I was about 76 points over. So I dropped the Drone squadron but I usely have them to get in the way of assault troops. I only have one Broadside too.

    Just to clear it up.

    I'd go for the drones...
As they say they are some fodder, additionally thgey have their nice carabines or blasters or whatever... gotta love the pinned guys!

By the way what does the stealth suits give you, I mean what's special about them?
