I've been thinking about ways to make Pariahs survive long enough to get into CC or long enough to fulfill there support role. Has anyone considered attaching a lord with a Solar Pulse to the Pariah unit? As it causes nightfighting rules to be in effect for this unit, it could reduce the number of shots coming at the unit. It seems to me this could really be effective in preventing some of those medium to long-range heavy weapons from targeting your Pariahs. I've never tried it as I'm still getting my Pariah squad together. Has anyone else? Thoughts?
I think they may be used alot more with the new CoD.
Yeah, it seems like a good strategy. Marching them behind some Warriors to force target priority rolls is good too.Originally Posted by Pekhov
It seems people like beating Necrons by phasing them out. Thus, if the majority of your army is "Necrons" (for PO purposes) then the squad of 10 Pariahs might get ignored. Too many non-Necrons and there will be indiscriminate shooting. Alternatively, many seem to think having a high Necron to non-Necron ratio is always best, but low PO can be used to your advantage. If your enemies are focused on "Necrons," all your non-Necrons are being ignored. Just a thought, probably something that was brought up in the Pariah Tactica.
Oh yeah! Read the Pariah Tactica.

Pariahs are amazing, ill take em over imortals any day. They do attract atention from some people, which may be a good thing. In all honesty, i like the idea of putting them behind a bunch of normal troops for target priorety, but it wont do you much good latter on. My suggestion is keep you Pariahs behind cover, and use destroyers to eliminate enimies that pose as a threat to them. then pull em out and its butt kickin time
