    few questions

want to start fielding raveners soon
and i think ill probably end up giving them devourers, or deathspitters
first question, which is more effective?
no way im fielding raveners with spinefists... pointsink -.-

next question: how do you represent it on a ravener?

it says "mounted in its thorax"

    erm...

and.... i dunno, this seems like a stupid question but i can hope right?
spore mine movement says "each turn"
does that include an opponents turn?

most of this has been covered but here goes.
    get devourers not death spitters,
it dosent need to be modelled on the rav. in thorax means its inside its mouth area, but i have seen people use a gaunt devourer sprue and attach it at the bottom where one of the arms would be,
and spore mines just move on your turn

Why would it be that bad to put spinefist on them since they are twin-linked at 4 STR not to mention you get 3 shots. I wouldn't consider them completely worthless although at only 12" range they are a little short still they aren't to horribly expensive for what you get.
Is it me or does any other necron player get annoyed when they see people saying "Necrons eat souls". How is that even possible as souls are part of the warp and necrons want nothing to do with it? Eh probaly me just me being picky.

I personally wouldn't feild Raveners at all, though i have in the past many times ans I always find it best to fix them for close combat. I used the Sything Talons+Rending Claws combination and that really owns.

this question came up yesterday actually when my bro was making his new list for city of death (the nids in my profile is his army)

    after a bit of playtesting....

devourers are usually 75% the better choice but you should field deathspitters against ork, eldar, and imperial guard. Just because an S5 Ap5 blast template makes wounding a breeze and with Ravener BS it should work.

    just my two cents.

well.... i wasnt sure if they are twin-linked or not to tell the truth
on a gaunt, its easy to see
and on anything else it is still twin-linked
i dont see how you would have twin-linked spinefists inside of a ravener though....

    can someone clarify this plz?

Spinefists are always Twin-Linked. This includes for Raveners and even a Carnifex's Spine Banks.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

yeh i was considering deathspitters as they work well on my warriors, however, it wittles away the potential shooting ability as it only allows 1 shot
i know some people end up clumping units together, and that may or may not lt me kill more with a small blast then with 6 or 3 individual shots, but id prefer not to build an army on the assumption that my opponent is going to make mistakes
rather id like to plan for the scenario where my opponent will be a step ahead of me
