Welcome to Librarium Online!
Okay, I can't beat these freaking guys. At first i didn't have a problem with them being very hard to kill until I found out how many points they were worth. Seriously, I think GW was drunk when they made these guys up. That furious charge thing is ridiculous, feel no pain, power weapons, power fist, and the usual frustrating SM save on top of this, AND they get free jump packs?
Pound for pound I can't think of anything in my tyranid army that measures up to them. All he has to do is avoid my genestealers and he could just fly around with those guys and wipe out my entire army.
Am I alone here? Personally I think to field those guys it should be 400 points.
I think marines in general are overpowered, but there's several ways you can deal with this:
Smash them down with wave upon wave of gaunts and/or genestealers. Seriously, spacemarines hate genestealers. Also, charge with a flying tyrant in such a way that you can clean the killzone (no attacks back). Hopefully he'll have a valuable model in the killzone and be forced to remove the one in base to base with you--no attacks back, mwahahahahaha.
My favorite way to deal with space marines, though, is to deploy everything out of LOS and bombard them the whole game with biovores and spore mine clusters. Make them come to you and give them a taste of what it's like to face armies like theirs. This, of course, only works when they have no weapons that can shoot out of LOS (like whirlwinds).
Lastly, you can ignore THEM! Most people I've met who deploy the death company do it for the same reasons who deploy ubercarnifexes--diversions. While you're fixated on them, the rest of their army is tearing yours apart. So ignore them, fleet past them, knock out their vehicles, and force them into assault.
Also, zoanthropes *cackles* Standard marine killers. I don't care how tough they are, if they aren't in terminator/artificer armor, they're in trouble form those AP3 blasts.

Ok I played against blood angels alot with my tryanids. Main thing to do against the death company is to enage them with gaunts or hormagaunts within synapse range to hold them up then next turn charge your genestealers into them. Also venom cannons from my ht and fex plus bs from fex does good. He gets his saving throw for armor but not feel no pain. Drop couple template on him and you will see the death lose some people from the fex bs. Also rending will keep the feel pain from happening. Usually his death company kills one unit and then dieds next turn from my counter attacks.
by the way death company can hold no objectives for victory purpose.
Brood lord and retinue will own a DC with chaplin nearly everytime, you will strike first and will cut him to shreds.
Speaking from someone who plays bugs and also blood angels, yeah, um, don't do this. If you ignore his death company, it's game over (for you). They have way way too much power to be ignored, and the BA player will not use them as a diversion unless they don't know what they have in them.Originally Posted by Atma
As was mentioned, counter attack with rending genestealers, or a broodlord + retinue. Try not to let them get a charge on stealers, though, as they will wipe out the squad and consolidate 2d6" with the Grail.
Honestly, the only thing overpowering for the death company is the free power weapon / fist when taking a naked vet srg out of a tac squad. Otherwise they're not too bad.
If you think they're overpowered now, you're wrong.
In the old rules you could have an unlimited squad of Death Company, 23 points for each model. You could give them almost anything from the armoury, so yeah, be glad you aren't facing the old Death Company. But basically, just swarm the Death Company. That's all that really needs to be said.
Also rending will keep the feel pain from happening.
how exactally does rending prevent the feel no pain?

Also, thanks for the help guys I will try these strategies. And, yes I agree SM's are overpowered it's just been frustrating lately. He's also a really good player though and he's played 4 years to my 16 games.

in one of the old white dwarf mags their is an all death company army list.
and not suprisingly you have to have the opponents permision to use it.
but i hate fighting them too
