    Conversion help

Hi im thinking of making a unit of splinter cannon scourges but id rather not have to spend almost £40 - £50 for ten models so im planning on converting them from the plastic warroirs. Im just wondering if anyone had suggestions on what i can use for the wings?

Ps if this thread is the wrong topic could a mod pleas move it to an appopriate one.

Thats a difficult one; if you're planning to use GW only products....

i THINK they might have some sprues for furies or something like that....

I think reaper miniatures might also do something of the kind... take a look around ebay or similar... those thigns are hard to come by... you might need to get them off the net, out of another, cheap, miniature...
    minimalism is the key.

I've seen wings that were the blades on the Raiders - the big ones and the ones that were hollow (didnt have a center).

I will take a look around and see if there are any other possibilities.

I converted some splinter cannon scourges a while ago and for the wings i did use fury wings but that's just because i had some furies i never used so i don't know if it would b any cheaper then to just buy the scourges. Also the metal wings are alot of weight for the thin waists of dark eldar so alot of mine have broken.

Just go look for some wings off of small plastic birds, and paint them to look mechanical. Or glue a bunch of tiny little slivers of paper together to make it look like the wings were made of blades. Or go raid the toy section at your local wal-mart (if you're in the states).

Harpy wings too are also an option, and leaves you with some wych like models.
