is it worth is buying the battle for macrage box if your splitting the cost and the contents? what page of the rulebook is the description of what happens for rending claws versus vehicles? is there a sprue that you can buy from gw that only has rippers on it?
Just about every post I've seen regarding this matter says that it is worthwhile.Originally Posted by PathofskullsPage 46.what page of the rulebook is the description of what happens for rending claws versus vehicles?I don't think so. AFAIK, you must either buy lots of the models that come with Rippers, buy/take them from someone who doesn't want them, or buy the excellent-looking (but relatively expensive) versions from Forgeworld.is there a sprue that you can buy from gw that only has rippers on it?
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

I split the cost of maccrage with a few of my friends and it is definately worth the cost. While I don't like the fleshborers on the gaunts, you still get the six genestealers and the spore mines plus terrain. The rulebook alone is worth most of the cost even though it is a stripped down one with only the rules.
For the rippers, the only thing that I know of that comes with all rippers is the forge world models. I it is 15 (little pound symbol thing) for three ripper bases or 9 for 9 individual models. Here's a link (its a little down the page): http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog...RANIDS_13.html

They don't always have them in stock, but you might want to check out battlewagon bits I know they sell a pack of rippers off the gaunts sprue(s) for much cheaper than the FW parts... they don't look as good, but its much, much cheaper.Originally Posted by Warrior47
