Welcome to Librarium Online!
This came up today in a game for the first time (surprisingly). When do Warp Beast packs deploy?
They're a free choice and dont use an FoC slot, this alone makes it tricky. Do they go before Heavy? After Fast Attack? With troops? Elites? etc.
Also do they count as deployment choice on their own or do they get deployed at the same time as a wyche squad?
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
I think they go with elites but dont take the slot, it makes sense cause u can take as many squads as you have wyches, and beasts are in elite section with em so I think they deploy with elites
I ran into this once but I deploy them almost always in the web so this isnt an issue usually.
I would deploy them in the same bracket as the wyches.
Kabal - with the wyches in the elite spot
Cult - with the wyches in the troop spot
Not very imaginative but it works and seems it should be this way.
Thats how I play it, but mine come through the webway anyway.Originally Posted by KwiKwag

I'd say that Warp Beasts always deploy as Elites. A Wych Cult only moves Wyches to the Troops slots and just because the Beasts don't take up a slot on the FOC doesn't mean that their place in the Codex as Elites is negated.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.
