Uh yeah here it is....
Ok I looked throughout the codex...
I looked in the rulebook...
What are stikk/krak/tankbusta bombz and what are the differences? Why is there no description to be found for them? I might want to buy some stikkbombaz but what are the bombz they wield?
Please help- thanks
there are no stupid questions
... just stupid rules lawyers.
frag stikkbombz negate the effects of cover, just like frag grenades
i.e. squad of 5 orks charges 5 marines in cover, the marines would normally go first, but the orks have frag stikkbombs, and the combat is simul.
krak stikkbombz are just like krak grenades, used for tanks.
if you choose to use them, you only get 1 attack per model equipped, regardless of charging, 2 close combat weapons, etc..
they notmal vehicles on a 4+, skimmers on a 6, and stationary vehicles automatically. their strength is 6.
tankbusta bombz are in a realm all their own.
they have the general size and appearance of a manhole cover, and are again used for tanks.
they follow the same tank grenade rules as above, but they double their armor penetration roll, effectively being strength 6+(d6 x 2)
look under weapon and options for the entry. you can give the orks all three bomb types.
and don't forget: you can use multiple grenade types in the same turn.
the description for tankbusta bombz is on page 36 of the ork codex. the description for frag stikkbombz/grenades are under 'special close combat attacks', page 66, rulebook. krak stikkbombz/grenade details are on page 90 of the rulebook. more info on grenades, assaulting vehicles, and the effects of cover can be found here
I thought that tankbusta bombs were kinda like meltabombs...
But now as you say it it strikes me that they're only str.6
Buyt it's kinda unfair that frag grenades have no other effect other than to keep the opponent from striking first...

Ahh ok its all starting to make sense
I must've missed the nuance that stikkbombz=grenades essentially.
You da man thanks
Yea it's kind of weird they didn't have the rules for the ork frag and krak stickbombs in the codex. It took me a while to find out the rules for them.
But what i found really weird was that there weren't stats for ork weapons in the Ork codex.
I know they are in the main rulebook, but still.

I know, it's so odd. Most of the weapons for orks arn't in the codex. Thats just wrong.
