Welcome to Librarium Online!
warriors count as infantry although my friend likes to say there mc's but what is the highest level terrain they can shoot over cause there not quite as short as regular infantry?
Warriors are NOT Monstrous Creatures! If a creatue is mosterous it will say so in its profile. Wariors can shoot over the same things as reg. infantry.
Your friend is probally thinking of the warriors of 3rd edition as if I remember correctly they had the special rule "shoot the big ones" on them which basically made them MC for being targeted or something like that.
Is it me or does any other necron player get annoyed when they see people saying "Necrons eat souls". How is that even possible as souls are part of the warp and necrons want nothing to do with it? Eh probaly me just me being picky.

Look at the sizes of the models bases. A Tyranid warriors base is bigger than a Guardsman's or a Spacemarine's so the Tyranid warrior can see over them and be seen itself. A Warrior's base is however smaller than a Hive tyrant's or a Carnifexe's, those two are monstrous creatures. The Warrior can't be seen behind them because it is smaller.
sorry the warrior counts as infintry and will see exactly like normal infintry and counts as the same size as normal indintry , basses only come into play if the warrior was a independent character which it is not, in 40k no unit blocks los anyway it just means ya now have to take a ld test to fire at them
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
also warriros are size 2 models, they can see over size 1 cc, but any cc that's contain size 2 or 3 models will block LoS.
Although warriors are taller than most size 2 units (gaunts, genestealers, marines, terminators, mostly anything that isn't a vehicle or a MC) they are counted as being exactly the same height for the purposes of seeing over things.
