I am not sure if this a question for the fluff forum so I am writing it here.
Did each C'Tan create their own necron warriors (warriors, destroyers,etc...)? Now assumeing they did and each one had thousands of warriors stationed on dozens of tomb worlds. Would the warriors of the fallen C'Tan still awaken to harvest souls for their dead masters or would they join with the forces of the last four known C'Tan?
Interesting question. I've been thinking of this problem some time before. I know that once upon a time c'tans were hervesting the souls toghether but then there was the treachery of Deceiver and Nightbringer. This means that previously all Necron were the same. After the conflict rose, the C'tans devided so they could infest the Necron technology in their own manner.
I think that Necrons of other C'tans might be quite different. That opens a new possibilities for gamers and GW. See the thread:
(the 5th post is what i was inspired of )
In my opinion the Necrons of the fallen C'tans are like ants without Qeen . Completly destitute of sens of existens. Maybe they even don't know that their masters are dead and their are still waiting for orders that will not come till the and of eternity. Gloomy vision. :shifty:
Or perhaps they just wait for someone to come and claim them...
Not in my game you won't!!
I agree with Erehwon Morf as IMO they would just sleep untill a C'tan comes along and tells em to wake up and do his biding. The only thing in the necron army (other than the C'tan) that can really think for itself is the lord and that is still limited. So more then likely if their master is dead they probally will follow whoever comes along as the binding to their old master is probally gone.
Is it me or does any other necron player get annoyed when they see people saying "Necrons eat souls". How is that even possible as souls are part of the warp and necrons want nothing to do with it? Eh probaly me just me being picky.

If they would just sleep then why would necron ships go to Mars to possible wake up another C'Tan, if that is where one of them is at? I do not think that the two C'Tan that are awake at the present time want to wake the other two. And if you read the Nightbringer novel his necrons were awake before he was.
Also how could it be with all of the tomb worlds found and necron sightings in the last 3 millennium, then only necrons from the Deceiver and maybe the Outsider are the only ones seen, because the Nightbringer just woke up in 41th millennium.
whos the outsider?
PM me about Aurora Prime Vassal fights! Willing and ready!
one of the 2 unscene but not necessaraly sleeping C'Tan
In the name of god impure souls of the living dead shal be banished into eturnal damnation. Amen.
The Outsider is a C'Tan that was tricked by the Eldar Laughing god into eating other C'Tan, the C'Tan that he ate are still in him like shards of glass and they drove him insane.whos the outsider?
This explains the lack of C'Tan left in the galaxy.

Been here nearly 10 years and still haven't managed 500 posts.
Maybe FO's were once the Outsider's Warriors, but once he ran off or whatever he did, the other two C'Tan took his troops for their own. The Outsider is insane, and the fluff for Flayed Ones also says they have gone crazy, and draped the flesh of their victims over their bodys, or something like that. Once I get to a Codex I'll find the page number.
I thought flayed ones draped their victims' skins on them because they were into that type of thing. You know, to scare the enemy - a kind of psychological warfare (hence the visage ability).and the fluff for Flayed Ones also says they have gone crazy, and draped the flesh of their victims over their bodys, or something like that.
It would be like dressing youself in banana skins and then shaking a banana tree.
Imagine how scared that tree would be.
