I was looking over the ulthwe strike force and getting some tottaly powerfull army in my head when I read that damn rule of "a wraithgate cannot be worn by a char on a bike".
Darnet, that would have been soooo cool. And overpowered...
I like the ulthwe strike force but I just don't know where I'dd put my wraithgates on. Everything is too slow. I want it on something fast then a fleeting squad.
Where do you guys stick it on?

Unfortunately you can't have transports in the army as you are limited to only using vypers and warwalkers as your only vechicles (since everything else to too big to weave through the webway.)
I put my wraithgate on the seer council (on a warlock not farseer though). The huge advantage of putting it on a warlock is that the wraithgate will deploy if the model carrying it is killed, thus you prevent all the disadvantages mentioned in the codex when deploying it yourself and you do not allow your opponent the luxury of a turn to react to the deployed gate.
Naturally this idea sometimes suffer from the opponent not shooting at the seer-council, but that is also a plus on your side.
Now the speed factor can be countered quite easily. There are two ways your can do this, use long ranged weapons or buy some fast moving units. The long ranged weapons will come in the form of warwalkers, due to the increased Ballistic skill two of these in a squadron with starcannons will create a hole in any army. Rememebr you DON'T have to limit the units inside the wraithgate to only close combatants, having a good mix of shooting is also advised.
The speed comes from the vypers and jetbikes. These will have to be deployed on the table though. For me I use these as harrasment, knocking out any vechical or unit that will later pose a major threat to the incoming army.
How? Well CTM works very well on vypers since their small size means they can hide easily behind terrain (and avoid getting shot), their increased Bs means you can equip them with single shot weapons and expect good results.
Jetbikes have a built in like CTM as they can move an extra 6" in any direction during the assault phase. Normally there isn't much fire power in the jetbike squadron but if you give the squadron a warlock the firepower increase by double (not in theory but in actual battle you will notice this). Give the warlock a singing spear and the detructor psychic power and the squad is able to deal with vehicals and troops whilst avoiding getting shot down. The high save and extremely good movement (turbo boost whilst ignoring all terrain) will prove invaluable, they often survive right to the end of the game for me with a nice kill rate too.
