Hi all, just curious to see what kind of crazy mega wars people get themselves into. The biggest of mine has been my very first battle (I know that it is not recommended but what the heck) a 5000pt war that took about a day and a half to finish. Have you ever seen 5000pts of Orks deployed over two tables just waiting to charge? Believe me there is nowhere to hide thats not Ork free, its total chaos! Even had to place a marker beside each squad to remind me of who has moved etc. and being my first game some of the rules were very liberally interpreted indeed. This game seemed to grind on forever and to this day I can't even remember who won!
So let us know what was your Biggest and Best Battle?
Well considering i've only been in this hobby for a modelling aspect (which will be revealed with many pictures shortly i assure you) I've only had about 6 games total.
But one of my first ones which i think you could see as quite big was a breakout mission with 2 of my mates.
I borrowed my friends marines with an army of 4000 deployed in the centre with the other guys deployed at either end of the table with 2000 each of chaos one side and Guard the other side.
Took all day and well into the night to finish the game but i can assure you that my tactic was what i'm sure most would agree on.......
I left some termies and a dread behind to hold up the chaos with assault cannons (loved it they took out 2 obliterators before he had a chance to use them on the first turn). And i ran straight towards the Guard to punch a big Hole in the line and charge off the board to win the day (god bless ruined tanks on you flanks to give you some cover)
So in answer to your question my biggest game was a 4000 point game, and only my second game i was quite pleased with myself to say the least:yes:
SON'S OF TERRA......... Your defeat, its the emperor's will
I'm fairly sure this topic is only for dark eldar players but hopefully nobody cares. I havn't played many big games as I have to tone down my armies to play against people who only have small armies, though we do take part regularly in megabattles and stuff where everyone chips in one or 2 squads depending on how many people are there which adds up to alot of points since everyone and their dog and their dog's monkey puts on a terminator squad and a land raider crusader...

I played a 3000 point battle vs a Tau player once, it was a very nice battle. Even though it turned out to be a tie in the end, both sides suffered ENORMOUS casualties. It was a simple point win battle on a relatively small battlefield. It was so funny cause he kept forgeting to do stuff with his units cause half of them were unpainted so he kept loosing track of which unit fired and which didnt. LOL
I think the largest so far was an allied mega battle with 3 players per team, 1000 points per player, each player used a seperate FoC. It was Ulthwe + Dark Eldar Kabal + Dark Eldar Kabal vs Space Wolves + Armored Company + Deathwing.
One of the Archons destroyed a tank with her agnonizer in both turn 5 and 6 ftw!
