A word of warning. The next time you get a strange unexplained reading on your Flagship's scanner and sensor arrays, don't dismiss it as a glitch or ghost. The Necrons are a real threat now, and they are out there, biding their time, waiting for you!
Just get a ruling in writing from the tourney organizers and go over it with your opponents before each match. Regardless of what we think is the right way to do it, if your opponent forces a ruling from the judges at the tourney you're going to have to abide by it. So get thier ruling before going in.

EXACTLY! Perfect advice!Originally Posted by medic_4077
I cant stress this enough - every place I play has a different interpretation of (any rule for that matter) the DE special rules especially. Find out before the game starts or before the battle if possible.
It sure sounds funny when you say, "But the guys in the DE forum said so!". You dont want to know how many times I have said that and they just shake their heads - they dont care.
There really isn't any argument that can be made, just read the codex entry for WWP's and ONLY WWP's, and any FAQ's related to it and not any other codex and play as is, anything else is rulesbending/lawyering, WWP armies are powerful enough without additional undeserved advantages and yes I do use webway portals.

I wouldn't really call it undeserved to expect a webway portal to work kind of like a wraithgate. They're the same points cost, they do pretty much the same thing, but the eldar can move then deploy theirs, AND if their last carrier dies IT OPENS AUTOMATICALLY!!! Granted the eldar dont get to choose what goes into the webway (IIRC?), but I think the whole opening automatically thing balances that just fine. And to be honest from the wording it seems to me like they were trying to say no shooting or fleeting and just worded it poorly.Originally Posted by Tenozuma
But what I think doesn't really matter, I agree with medic_4077's advice, tournament judges ruling stands so get it before hand and play by it.
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
i think that u would be able to move in the movement phase and deploy the portal but i must agree that the best idea is to talk to a local official.
you are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decyaing organic matter as everyone else. Until you accept the fact that you are going to die, you are useless. This is your life. Good to the last drop.
