Okay i know that to get fire dragons to were they are needed (by a tank or heavy armoured unit) is by putting them in a falcon or wave serpent but how do they get out, shoot and live through next turn without every gun coming down on them?
No eldar unit is an Island. Give him more to worry about so every gun isnt turned on the fire dragons. Or make it so if he shoots up the dragons the banshees can get stuck in.
Eldar aspect warriors cannot be expected to survive on their own.
Never fight fair, never fight unsuported.
I like dropping aspects behind safe zones where LOS is blocked by CC or terrain.
well for starters if you blow up a vehicle you can hide behind the wreckage.
If you take 6 fire dragons in a falcon then usually they have already made their points back killing a vehicle so it doesnt matter how many of them get killed next turn.
If you take 10 in a wave serpent they are vulnerable but these should be used for hunting MEQ's not vehicles so you have to time it to coincide with a banshee/scorpion charge.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
You've got some solid advice above. Also in a pinch you can drop them off into a building or forest such that they are 6+ inches in for most enemies but only 5-6 inches in towards what you want to shoot (which will hopefully be blown up and blocking line of sight next turn).
Note that this will give lots of LOS for the skimmer over the area terrain. Usually I find myself doing that as much to get LOS at a somewhat hidden enemy vehicle (bassies etc) or LOS that isn't obscured or to get side armor. It's just if I'm going to do it anyway I might as well keep the dragons alive.
just give them some covering fire from the wave serpent or falcon, better yet you could havesome scorpians or banshees run along side them to make the enemy think twice, or you could attempt to wipe out the entire unti with the fire dragons fusion guny death mwahaha, on a random note is it just me or is eldar melta weaponry stupidly weak ?
