...... Great, I asked GW about if a biker could move vertically up the building even though there is no stair or ladders around... the answer was YES. I just cant figure out how that works.. So they fire their turbo booster like a rocket and shoot them upward into the atmosphere then drop back down onto the roof of a building? Since bikers dont have to roll for difficult terrain test, they are always certain to be able to move 4 floors up and down every turn (12" movement). Bikers with skill riders upgrade totally breaks CoF's game mechanics. Ugh!
Anima Tactics - try it out!
That's probably the reason.
They basically use their boosters to gain the momentum needed to propel them selves upwards. Or if you're willing they activate a control that extends spikes that allow them to climb up the wall.
Your right that is pretty broken. I can't imagine a bike achieving flight unless you've got a couple convientently placed dirt bike ramps lying around a ruined city. I can't see bikes zipping around ruins in general. =d
Well, they aren't the only thing to have broken mechanics in the GW world, so why complain? Instead, look for a way to counter the bikers, and defeat them regardless of this obvious advantage.Originally Posted by nekochen
It's a waste of a thread to just complain about something that might be a little broken - instead, discuss tactics, etc. in getting rid of the threat.
However, who at GW did you ask? If it was one of the "rulesboys" then it's been established that half the time, one rulesboy will contradict another, and makes matters even worse. Though, if there's no 100% established rule, written down, somewhere, about the bikes moving vertically, then either the GW guy is correct about it, or it is simply preference, and something you should talk with your opponent about prior to the game.
Hell if they can do it in the movies(Ghost Rider), do it in video games (Devil May Cry), and even in comics (far too many to count) why not 40,000 years into the future? =D
