Have any of you guys ever used these? Is so, what do they look like? are they any good?
Those dethkoptas with str 4 for just 5 points more than a warbike look to be pretty good. But how do you field them? Do you just use warbikes and say they're dethkoptas or something?
I custom built mine out of old dollar store green army men type of helicopters. They're actually scaled about right. I don't think forge world has any, but if they did they would be in Imperial Armour II, which was Orks and IG. Go Speed Freeks!!!! Vroooooooooooom!
Games workshop make Deth Kopta models.
Generally speaking, people custom build their own kopters. They can look pretty much like anything you want, as long as they seem to be flying and have the appropriate gear. If you go to the-Waaagh.com (think thats the site, if not just use a browser to find it). It's an ork forum with some rather specacular conversions.

I'm guilty of the crime of scrounging some plastic, and sticking it on top of a Mega Armoured Nob in a four-pronged way (so it looks like a helicopter), and claimed it was a Death Kopta.
Needless to say, my opponent wasn't impressed.
So I didn't use him.
However, I can say great things about Warbike Outriders!
Dethkoptas are excellent, the downside is the limited range of the TL big shootas as they are effective just like warbikes. Remember you can give the Mek any upgrade with a small points adjustment, i usually stick with a power fist.. seems to work well. I have used Super stikk bombs on rare occassions. I either go straight for tank hunting, or i dive them into a combat to assist a unit, the extra attacks really help since they are str 5 when they charge.
For a conversion i used a Sentinel front and built a tail and propellers. I used the TL big shootas from the warbike, and i plan on using the warbikes left over was Outriders or converting my own Big shootas. I plan on taking pictures of all my new edition, which include 2 deth koptas, 3 more battlewagons, and 2 new trukks
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I use 3 deth kopta meks that fly solo, each toting a burna.
"...a swarm of mechanised locusts sweeping over the land, stripping it bare of resources, bringing death and destruction to anything that stands in its path. Emperor preserve us against the predations of these so-called Orkish cults of speed!" - Cardinal Nomura at the Conclave of Hessen
I chopped the bike half off a few wartracks, stucka rotor blade throught the fuel tank and glued a couple of big shootas to the front forks instead of the front wheel. They make pretty decent gyro copters and leaves the other tracked half handy for battlewagon custom jobs.
Death Kopters are good at crossing obstacles as you can avoid the 1 in 6 bike crash. The mekboy is handy as well. You can have him on his own as a sort of "flying mechanic" to keep you vehicles moving, give him a powerclaw or superstick bombs to do death dives on vehicles, give him burna for a fast moving firestarter, or give him a Kustom mega blasta for termie hunting. (bikes can fire and move with heavy weapons)
I'm going to use 3 Koptas.
One is going to be a mek in a hot air ballon basket with tau drones lashed up pulling him around.
The second will be a bike with rokkits attached all over it.
And the third is going to be a mini helicopter that I'm going to make from scratch.
