Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to model cyborks, preferably one that actually looks good and doesn't involve building the figures entirely from scratch.
One way to go about doing Cyborks is to get the old 2nd edition metal mega-armored nobs from GW mail order archive. Expensive if ya want alot of em...but the easy way to go with minimum konversion work .
Otherwise you can use the plastic 3rd edition Ork boyz...and add lots of gubbinz to em. Like from the equipment on the sprues...shootas make nice bionic arms and legs when cut down.
Some of the old Gorkamorka line had bionic bitz for the Orks...they might still be available through GW mail order...
WAAAGH! Da Cyborks
"Da Orks is da best cuz we ar ded ard an killy, mean, green, krumpin machines, hav da most dakka, da stompiest dreads, da shootiest gunz, da biggest bosses, an we uze choppas...WAAAGH!"
Some people cut of the hands of normal orks and make the weapons an extension of their arms. This will require a little bit of greenstuff, but I think it looks reasonable.
