Welcome to Librarium Online!
OK this question has probably asked before. but for the 40k in 40 minutes rules (http://uk.games-workshop.com/warhamm...at%2Dpatrol/1/) is it possible to field a working necron army list. Anyone thats attempted it could u post ur lists so that i could get an idea. Thx
I played in a 10 day combat patrol campaign at my local store. Here was the list i used.
Which came to 398 pts.
I played around 8 games and only lost once.
I came about 4th in the end. Another Necron player won.
So in answer to your question, yes, Necrons can work in combat patrol.
Yes they can be effective you just have to spend points wisely.
So you should only have 1 squad of warriors. You need some bigger guns.
This leaves you with 2 options
Some imortals a little stronger for more points
Or as before much stronger but cost much more.
The key is to target your threats right away with the destroyers or combined fire of immortals and the warrirors.

i use 10 warriors, 3 destroyers, and a tombspyder.
i find the warriors deal with any main enemy threat, while the destroyers take out any really big problems. I field the Tomb Spyder because i bieleve it invaluble that you can bring on extra units to a unit limited game, also, he makes for alright close combat.
