I'm considering starting an Eldar army and I know a fair bit about it. I just want to know the point costs of their models. I'm not sure whether posting them is against the rules of this forum so you can send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Um. How is it you know a fair bit about the eldar without knowing the costs of our models? Somehow or other you'll want to spend some time with a codex. Eldar have a ton of special rules you'll need to know and use.
if your serious about starting eldar go to your local games workshop and read the current codex, ask the staff questions they can recommend a good starter army. Also go to a gaming night and watch an eldar player see how the special rules are implemented. But never ask for people to give you points costs on the forum its not allowed (not for individual models/wargear).
you are probably aware that the new codex is out in a few months so it may be wise to wait for that, perhaps buy some basic troops to paint in readyness like a box of guardians and a farseer. When the new codex comes out buy it and you will have up to date points costs. If you dont want to fork out a lot for a soon to be out of date codex an internet auction site will help you.
Dont let this reply or others dissuade from the eldar, we are a dying race and need many more to our cause. In october the Eldar shall have their revenge!!!!
who needs October we're dominating now. We've been 1st or second almost constantly throughout the Medusa V campaign and stand an excellent chance of winning the whole damn thing.
If you want to start buying eldar right now get some guardians, a farseer and some of the elite aspect warriors (banshee, scorpions etc.). These should stay relatively similar in the new codex and will still be stroong under our current one.
But yes if you want t o start collecting a race buy their codex, or at least go down to GW and take notes from their store copy.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
