Welcome to Librarium Online!
I dont know what about you guys, but I will not sit and wait for some little female drachon to overthrow the founder of Commoragh Asdrubael Vect. As much as I dont want to turn against those under her command, I see no other option. What do you think, I just want to know who will stay loyal to our founder, not that I care who rules the dark city but ... still. Anyway, do you think there is there any way those who dont want to serve the girl, could somehow fight for the glory of Asdrubael, or does it mean we have to betray all those dark eldar fighting on the planet.
Hahahaha! No'akei! What a joke! Hahaha! Is there anyone that actually likes that character at all? I'm fully with Vect and against No'idea. Just post in your medusa V battle reports that your the same, that character is laughable how bad she is... make her die! I call dibs on capturing her and handing her to Vect. Asdrubael Vect is one of our only good Characters. Drazhar, Lelith and Urien all have awesome models but they lack any real depth and that other character sucks. Asdrubael founded commoragh, he founded the dark eldar pretty much, made it so that we didn't all die but didn't have to go poncing around wearing spirit stones and denying ourselves the simple pleasures either. I understand how they want to emphasise the whole betrayal/overthrowing thing about the dark eldar (or just can't be bothered to write anything worthwile for us) but this is just taking it too far, worst character ever.

No'aki is a complete waste of space....
I mean, if in the end, it turns out that she didn't displace Vect, and was still outcast, and could be taken in a battle of less than 2000 points (old tyrannid, Red horror/Old one eye type thing) And GW actually worked out some cool fluff for her (Fallen farseer? Captured from a craftworld, to become Vects lover, and is tortured and pleasured into becoming one of the DE, but still bearing her old initial hate for vect?
A kind of Hate/Love thing?)
That could work.
And I could accept her as our 'spoils of war' (A new special Character, and some new fluff)
But to displace Vect entirely, is something I think GW will simply just not do.
He's the equivalent of Malekith in Fantasy (the Witch King). He may be wounded by Ethalarion (I hate that guy) but never killed...
If GW does it as I hope they do, it could work out awesomely well..
minimalism is the key.
Fluff wise I would have to agree with all of you.
As for the future of the Dark Eldar in the 40k game - we need her to stir things up. It is said by others (non-official) that they may do a dual character advasary thing like the Tau (Farsight and ShadowSun). I personally think this is whats happening here and it can only mean that we are getting "noticed" perhaps this is a test to see if anyone still plays DE.
I can see GW asking themselves before designing the Medusa V storyline, "hey guys, I have an idea! We can use that old female DE Lord, give her a name and make her an Archon. Since there can only be one Archon thingy we will pit each of them against each other and make a story. What do ya guys think?" and of course the other GW guys said, "what ever" and they went with it not knowing that not one DE player out thinks it is a crappy character.
So I see it as, sure, why not? If it means we get some attention then why not. I dont think they will oust Vect since he already has a huge model including a personal barge. Lets keep winning and show them GW boys that we can put someone into power and if we like, take them out as well.
Dont'cha think they will look at the final count of DE games played and say, "You know, I think a new codex and minis would actually be profitable - look how many people are playing with the DE."
Believe it or not, I just fought my own cousins in Medusa. The GW guys let us fight a betrayal mission, Kabal vs Kabal. It was the most fun I ever had since the fall of Medusa started. Plus, for fluff reasons its nice to have a battle among the DE for not sharing similar interests. How nice would it be if GW could let us have a rebelion, the loyal followers of Comoragh vs the misguided and pathetic tools of No'akei. Would be quite interesting dont you think? By the way, I dont want GW to make the new special character for No'akei, there isnt enough room in Commoragh for two rules.
