Does Tau have a universal special rule? (I'm a space marine player so I don't have a clue). For example, the SM's have "They shall know no fear", Bugs have "Without number", crons have "WBB", etc. Does the Tau have a special rule? Maybe with the Ethereals?
Black Templars 3000 points
Tau Empire 1750 points
Tyranids 1500 points
Hordes of Chaos *Coming soon*
The ethreals have a special rule, basically the ethreals insire the troops, but when they die, morale tests are aplenty. Don't think i can go into detail for Copywrite reasons, just thumb through the codex next time your in-store.....
Apart from that, the only universal rule for the tau is "Don't Get Into Combat".......lol
Jesus saves!!! Everyone else loses a wound.
Nope, the Tau don't have any rule that applies to every model, though the Ethereals have "Inspiring Presence" or something... I don't think it's a universal special rule, but no one uses Ethereals anyway
Gloria Imperator, The Firstborn Stand!
- 2000pts Inquisition, 2000pts Vostroyans, 3000pts Vampire Counts, 1400pts Daemons, [WIP] 2500pts Death Guard
But you can get "feel no pain" for one suit per army and "hit and run" for one suit per army but that is about that. And I must agree with Salmon.... no one really uses ethereal, since you are way better set with a commander or two
I think there might be a "Perpetual Blue in the Face" universal rule, or "Should jump up and down and say KADAT" rule everytime your firewarrior squad kills a model in close combat. If there aren't such rules there should be.
Ethereals have their uses.... when they're dead. I dunno, seems like GW wants to encourage people to kill their ethereals. CC becomes possible victories become slightly possible, instead of a prayer for a miracle, but it's still bad.Originally Posted by Arakiaz
Indeed and not something you should rely on since you have to roll under 4 on both dices for not having you FWs (which should be the majority of you firepower) run away. I agree with you on the fact that he only use-able after his death, but as I prefer my units alive I don't use them at all and I'll rather use my second HQ slot for another commander to lay down even more destructive firepowerOriginally Posted by Casmicus
Nids only have With-out Number for the gaunts under 9 pts ea.(with out the 3+ pts EA for WO)
And yeah the only thing worng with ethreals is that when a player sees them..the guys like...Ok all shoots going into him XD
Yeah he is extremely good at attracting nearly all enemy fire, but to what use when the entire army run of?Originally Posted by Hive Fleet Cobra
Tau don't have a special rule. Period. Thread done.
My gaming group's new motto: That army you're using is overpowered because it hurts my guys, codex is broken and needs a rewrite.
