When is the best time to take my fire worriros out of my devilfishes?
Also when is the best time to use the fish of furry.
When there's something good to shoot at
If there's a bunch of particularly nasty units moving toward your lines fast, that would probably be a good time to throw the fish up there and soften them up a bit.

If you figure that one out, you have mastered the art of mech, it's taken me a while to figure out where and when to do it to get the most impact and I still get it wrong every now and then. There is no catch all "do this at this time" for mechs, you really just gotta play it by ear. Experience with the tactic is the only thing that'll get you better at this.
Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009
Also while my Fire worrors are in the devilfish what so i do with it?
Use them to capture objectives. Bring them where they're needed. Scare the opponent with your transports. Hide them behind cover until you can get in there and cause some damage.Originally Posted by funkwall
Really, you have to react to what your opponent does and what the mission/scenario calls for - that's the beauty of Mech Tau. They are mobile enough to do multiple things in the one battle, and are better at shooting at a certain part of the enemy, not exchanging fire the whole time.
For the Devilfish, if you have spare points, consider the "Warfish" strategy - give it a Multitracker, Targeting Array, and a Smart Missile System, and sit behind cover shooting with your SMS until you need to move somewhere else and do stuff.
Thanks for all the help. If you look at the tau army lists i wrote a tau mech army the title is "advice with my 2000 pts. tau mech list" so you can look at it to help me make out with it.
