wyche succubus w/ combat drugs punisher t-helm aminus vitae and wyche weapons this will total up to strength 6 i was wondering if it's legal and if it woud be better to take an agoniser?
It looks legal to me, except that the Succubus doesn't get wych weapons herself; wych weapons are a squad upgrade.
With this configuration, it's counter-productive to take an Agoniser, which ignores your strength to wound on a 4+ regardless. The whole point in tooling up your Succubus (or other character) is to be able to wound opponents easier. Why defeat that object by taking a weapon that ignores your strength?
That's a quite common configuration for a LORD, but not for a lowly succubus. You'd spend way too much wargear on a fragile one wound model with also not very many attacks which would benefit of them. Both a wargear combat drug dispenser and the animus vitae are wasted on a succubus, won't get the points back.
Concerning the animus, note that you have to capture an enemy model as described on page 5 of the codex before it starts working. This is quite difficult, and i absolutely wouldn't rely on it. I therefore do not use the animus - it's not reliable enough.
Thanks for the advice i just wanted to tool her up because my army doesnt have much of a close combat squad and i wanted to be able to at least be able to take on some assult squads
How much do wyche weapons cost it doen't say anything in the codex
Hmm...then you probably have the old version (they didn't cost anything in the old codex). The new wych weapons aren't free though. You can get the codex update on the GW homepage, but in the latest printing of codex DE the wych weapons are cheaper than written in that file again (to give people a reason to buy the new codex). It's also in a certain WD issue, and in CA.
We may not post the point cost directly, because of copyrights.
yeah, its generally best to just give her the agonizer only (and of course let her keep the splinter pistol too)
wouldn't it be easier to give him/her just an agoniser so strength doesn't count?
good point Crippler. Seriously, just take an agonizer...besides, agonizers can even blow up tanks!!! (once every 12 hits or so...)
