Welcome to Librarium Online!
Alright guys! I already have 15 Destroyers in my Necron Army. Now I'm contemplating on 30 Immortals. I KNOW that you can't have an army with both of these sickly options and numbers so I was wondering if even having that many is any good? I know points wise they are a killer.
30 Immortals would be awesome!
man you have the same double weapon destroyer as me:cry: (thought i was original)
i don´t know how many points you need to play for this but a list with both 15 destroyers and 30 immortals is SHOOTY:w00t:
it is only very expensive to get 30 immortals

Thirty Immortals and fifteen Destroyers would be very cool, but you'd also have a very small army.
To wit: with the aforementioned units, the minimum twenty Warriors, and a stripped Lord, you're still playing a 2,050 game...with only sixty-six models.
Granted, practically all of your army has a toughness value of five, but it's short on everything else, and it's still mostly a foot-slogging list.
How many of anything else would you be facing at that points level?
I think it's a really neat idea and would look imposing on the table, but ultimately, it would get its "boXorZ r0x0reD."
WHFB: Dwarfs || WH40k: Imperial Fists, Necrons || WM/H: Trollbloods || BFG: Necrons
If you made it for a 2,500pts game, you could give your lord some war gear and fill out the rest with warriors. This will give you AWESOME firepower and a strong base of warriors to support it with. Giving your lord a VoD would be nifty so that you can move one of your immortal squads around and cause some problems
That is also a good suggestion, so depending on your points limit you should pretty much have a strong shooty army if thats what you were going for
Hmm, personally if I had to choose between them, I'd go with the 30 Immortals. For 750 points for 15 models vs. 840 for twice that, and the same amount of shots, granted less strength and less mobility, I'd still take the Immortals. With a 6' move you have effectively a 30' range and 2 X X shots. They are alot more resilient than the Destroyers. Of course less of both but balanced would be the best choice, but if we're talking about one or the other, take the sloggers. Honestly, I would never field both sets in anything under 3k, otherwise it's entirely too top heavy. That's my two cents.
