im wondering if i should use storboyz as my elites choice or if i should go with 'Ard boyz...my army is going to be almost all close combat warboss, nobz, 3 mobs of slugga boyz, etc.
thanks for the input
i would go with ard boyz.
witht e 4+ armor save, that's the most resilient ork unit you got!
storm boyz look cool, and are powerful on the charge(as all orks are), but weak when they get caught out in open ground, they're easy to gun down!
besides if you need some speed, get some trukks or something
Topic moved since it belongs in the orc section.
Stormboyz cost too much: A mob of trukkboyz can move faster (upto 25" with a red paint job, and 13" & still assault) and costs less than an equal number of stormboyz. 'ard boyz are a much better value.
ok, i see where your goin'. what about 'ard boyz vs. skarboyz...what should i get?
It's largely a matter of preference; 'ard boyz last longer and so I guess they're a better overall unit but of course they cost more too. Skarboyz are more likely to inflict wounds which is always a good thing. Personally I like 'ard boyz better but usually I just stock up on more slugga & shoota boyz and use gretchin as ablative armor (i.e., they die first) for those mobs rather than taking a lot of more expensive guys.
skarboyz rule man put em in a truk and it will rip through a squad so quickly and easily it aint funny... to marines it is absolute hell S4 wit choppers... yeah
You can't put skarboyz in a trukk.
a little sumthing called speek freeks
Please make sure you read the original poster's question: He's making a footslogger army using slugga boyz. Skarboyz cannot be put in a trukk for an ordinary ork army.
