Alright guys here is the breifing...I am going up against an IG player for a 1500 pt battle and he is packin nothing but missle launchers in his squad to eliminate my pesky well be back rule. heres what i got.
Destroyer lord w/ VoD and warscythe
squad of 4 destroyers
2 squads of 12 warriors each
1 squad of 10 warriors
and 8 flayed ones
my plan is to have lots of troops so he will have a long time killing them all. but any more advice will be helpful, i really want to win so anything you got hit me with it ok! thank you guys for any help you offer.
Your opponent is using krak missiles to negate your WBB, correct? Well each krak missile can only take out one model per turn so he's not going to be killing you very quickly. Besides a Resurrection Orb (which you should always have in your army) within range easily guaruntees you have your WBB.
Destroyer Lords already move 12" a turn (24" if he turboboosts). With that much movement he won't need that VoD. I suggest any combination of Lighting Field, Phase Shifter and Phylactery.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
The necron VS guard fight is probably easier for the necron player - you have multiple options.
Destroyers are absolutely amazing against the guard.
Infiltrate your flayed ones to tie them up in close combat. It doesn't matter if they die too much, as long as they buy you enough time to get your toasters into range.
Do you have any scarabs about? These are also great for simply flying in his face to generally be a nuisance.
As soon as he starts playing with anykind of armour (always silly against Necrons) give your scarabs disruption fields and watch the fun.
Really, you only have to start watching out if he starts using Roughriders - who can really hurt necrons.

And 150+ lasguns will mow down even necrons.
To combat this the res orb is a must. Field 2. Get rid of the C'Tan. Its a points sink. A clever player will phase you out and never worry about the C'Tan. Only people with nothing better to do waste their time shooting at it.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Ok for starters get rid of the nightbringer. Waste of points in such a small battle. Secondly a destroyer body and warscythe is for a CC lord, yet you give him a VoD. After you deepstrike you cant assault so therefor your lord short be a foot lord that way he can shoot the SoL and save yourself some points on wargear. Get another squad of 4 destroyers with the points from the nightbringer, 2 more flayed ones and chuck the rest of the points into either immortals or more warriors or wraiths, depending on how many points you have left over
I second evil_exodus. At 1500 pts you could also consider a Monolith, which performs really well against IG if you deepstrike it into the enemy deployment zone.
Do you know what mission you will be playing?
Not in my game you won't!!
