Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm not sure where this should go but I'll put it.
The tiop end of my Necron Lord's staff has broken off. Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix it?
Do you have a pin vice? If you are veeeeery careful, you could use a length of paper clip to pin it. Probably the best thing to do- if you try to glue it back on normally, odds are it'll just break off again.
You could try using a zip kicker if you don't want/know how to pin it. It will make the glue dry faster and stronger. But like Orkrontyr said pinning is probably a better idea.
Here was me thinking it was another question about WBB or Phlactery. By pin vice you mean the pen filled with small drill bits right? Works great for wraiths too but if that doesn't work, quite often your local store will have a bits box from thier conversions, see if they have a Necrons lords staff, its a long shot but you might get lucky.
You could use some greenstuff to help hold it in place while glueing and help keep it stuck together.

I heard that mixing superglue and green-stuff makes a literal concrete. Not sure if it will work though plus I'm not gonna get green-stuff for just one occation because I probably won't need it again.
i have pinned both an other head on my lords staff(looks much better) and i have pinned all the army of the daemonettes models.
i use an size 1 drillbit, i believe those are the smalles you can buy in most storeĀ“s and they work very good because they are just the right size.
but be carefull with drilling bnecause one mm to far and your scewed.
the best way i found out is
1. take an sharp pin and stick it on the exact palce you want to drill, this wil keep the drill from spinning off
2. take your drill, i use an normal electric scewdriver:wacko: but you need an realy steady hand for that, so i would use an hand powered drill on the first few times:yes:
3. drill very carefully and just take your time
if the piece of metal you use doesnĀ“t fit exactly, take sone greenstuff and put it in the hole
stick the metal rod in the greenstuff and use superglue to stick the pieces together.
this is very very stable
I once dropped my nightbringer and i have pinned his arms and the scythe this way but i didnĀ“t bother with the torso and the base, and the only thing that was still glued together were the arms and the scythe the rest was broken in pieces:cry:

I had the exact same thing happen as the OP and the pin vice was the key to my reparation. I have to concur with the "veeeeery" in the quote above. One word: impalement. Yeah, I've impaled myself a couple of times. It's funny how the smallest things hurt like hell.Originally Posted by Orkrontyr

Before I learned to pin, I cut staples into equal lengths and glued them to the sides of the join. Kind of an external pin. I wouldn't do that now.
Pin it. Otherwise it will only keep falling off.
