IF there is no area terrain does that mean they cannot deepstrike?
Do you mean there is NO terrain on the board? LIke, not even buildings? If you are playing without terrain you will never be able to win and you should not aggree to ever play without terrain.
Hmm...I wonder though if the Lictor can Deepstrike at the edge or inside a building or not. We always play that he can but our bunkers and such have snowy edges and some land attached to them.
no, i mean if there is no AREA terrain. If there is regular terrain but no area can he deepstrike?
Then you agree with your opponent to classify certain pieces as area terrain acceptable for the lictor to deepstrike into.

I don't agree with you there. It is much harder to win, but not impossible. I used to fight this one great Necron player often with my Tyranids with no terrain, and I generally won with just a wounded carnifex and wonded hive tyrant remaining, and sometimes a zoanthrope as well. I also came close to defeating Space marines with no terrain, and I even beat Orks and Chaos without the aid of cover. So, you are right as far as it greatly increases the challenge, but not as far as to say that it is impossible.
