... And available for pre-order. The insanity of ot all.
I was first alerted to this by the folks on Warseer, kudos. Also, as Eblis_dead_Forever on Warseer points out, It's not just a Manta, but the kit also comes with several complete battlesuits, two hammerheads, two devilfish, and six drones.
And I can still say the whole thing is outrageous... for one person. But I consider this a cool concept for 40K gaming groups. Everybody could chip in a bit, and score the group a massive centrepiece.
Who remembers the "whole SM chapter for sale" that was advertised in WD a long time ago?
I do, 5000 for the entire ultramarines chapter including marines, armor, support personel, and tunderhawk! What a deal! Manta's pretty cool btw.Who remembers the "whole SM chapter for sale" that was advertised in WD a long time ago?

Very amazing piece but who pays that much for miniatures at one time! I'm sorry but that is just too much for me, even with the battlesuits and hammerheads. It really is an awesome model though.
Makes me wonder though, if 2 pilots and 4 operators can control sixteen Long-Barrelled Burst Cannon, Six Long-Barrelled Ion Cannon, Two Heavy Rail Guns, Missile Pods and battery of Seeker Missiles as well as a Networked Markerlight turret, why are there even infantry around anymore.

I doubt the Manta could actually hold ground objectives that good...
Something I don't like about the Manta is the Burtcannon turrets on the wings. They look cheap and very misplaced. The model i so cool that it speaks for itself but it's the Burstcannons that is the problem. I also don't see this model as playable the same way as the normal titans. Just by dropping of troops makes it an easy target and should be easy to shoot down.
The bottom line is; Fun ting to own but pain in the a** to pay for!
Remember remember the fifth of November... Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason... Should ever be forgot...- = Always watching = -
I don't really see this thing being easy to shoot down. It's got armor like a hammerhead, lots of structure points and an invulnerable save to boot. If I was using one, I'd just use the orbital lander rules to park it in the middle of the battlefield and kill anything in LoS. It's a flying 2000pt army that can transport a 2000 pt army
I kinda like the look of the burst cannons, they're a cool feature that acknowledges that it'll get attacked from all sides. Hey in BFG Mantas are actually a small escort
Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009
At least you get free delivery...
at what $1500 dollars?!? It better be delivered by strippers.
HEH nice one, for £895 this thing had better have working railguns, remote controlled FW dudes and the ability to fetch me a pizza from my local takeaway and keep it hot.Originally Posted by Sir_Prometheus
Have you seen the size of the thing, even on a 6X4 board you lose half the table, I think its an amazing model but seriously is anyone gonna buy this thing (at least anyone with a normal income)
If I had the spare time, I might buy it for a display model. Honestly, like titans I think that's the only real use for it.
