Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been thinking about starting an ork army, and have been playing around with numbers & organization & stuff, and I've been thinking about something...
How useful are an HQ unit of Warboss & Nobs? Even if you give them a truck? They seem relatively expensive for how fragile they are. If you give them Mega armor, they get really expensive for orks. Looking on the list section, there seem to be a mix of layouts for your HQ & warboss. So what do you think about it? Are HQ units/squads worth it?
(Not that it should matter much in this post and I'm not looking for criticism (yet), but the list I've been thinking is something like warbozz, 1 trukk w/ 9 boys, 2 trukks w/ 10 boys, 1 PK, 3 killer kans (for LOS to the boys), 3 squads of 20, and 2 tankbuster units all for around 1500 pts +/-)

"I told you, it's not Pink! It's Light Red!" Donut on his new power-armor.
if you give some of them eavy armor their survivablity goes up, also putting in a doc or two helps if you're slogging it. i think a trukk works better though, since they dont really suffer from having less guys like normal trukk boys do. once they get stuck in their waaagh charge is likely to happen and get I6 for nobs and I8 for the boss! taking some powerclaws for a few of them is never a bad idea either.
In all but the biggest games, they are usually too big a points sink. Consider putting a warboss in with a slightly cheaper unit, such as skarboyz or 'ardboyz. Trukk boyz are very popular, but I play a KoS, so I'm naturally going to suggest that last option.

Ork Nobz are not fragile in the least, give them eavy armor, and combine that with their 2 wounds each and respectible T 4, and you have a very tough nut to crack.
When nobs get into CC with their leader they are night unstoppably just from the sheer amount of attacks they can muster. I recommend putting them into a trukk and rokkiting them to the enemies lines.
Never underestimate nobz.
why 10 nobz, i use 4: 2 in mega armour and 3 in eavy armour all with bionic arms thats 6 attacks each on the charge not including warboss.
you know i kinda overlooked that... so should i swaop the cybork body to bionic arm? and wouldnt he only get 4 i dont think shootas count as a cc weapon.
sorry it says 2 weapons not 2 cc weapons nm
A boss n nobz are probably the most expensive thing you can put in an army (except for biker nobz and chaos chosen), but I don't think I've ever seen something so deadly. I've seen even small mega-armor retinues go toe to toe with everything from dreads to wraithlords to termis to Khornates and come out the winner.
If you want to look for something cheaper than mega armor try heavy armor, sluggas and choppas, with a few PKs and maybe a burna. Put enough in to get power of Waaugh, throw them at beakies, and watch them die before they even hit back. At I6 the only thing they have that can even match you is a librarian with a familiar, so have the boss splatter him.

Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
