What is the movement speed of the talos.
It is said to be a skimmer - so it move that fast? 24 inches per tern seems a bit unfair.
I could see 12 inchs... Winged monsterus creatures can do that.
nope, it moves 6"
6" move and 6" charge, skimmer just describes how he moves. Skimmer vehicles can move 24" cause they are vehicles and in doing so can only take glancing hits, talos is a creature that cant take glancing hits thus can only move standard distance.
It doesnt say that anywhere, its just a fact that has been overlooked by the codex makers.
I know simmers move 12" but since we are DE, all our skimmers are fast so I was impling to our skimmers.
Hmm, 6 inches would explain the 100 points - and make if fairly worthless. Are we sure it moves 6 inches?
The more i look at the rules the more i learn towards wych cult.
Picture the armies that want to come to you instead of vice versa. Tyranids, for example.
Sniper squad as bait, so to speak, and then the Talos can mop up squads of Gaunts while taking little to no damage in return.
It's not useless, it just takes some getting used to/smart strategy, like everything in the DE list. Dark Eldar are by no means Space Marines.
Talos is a BEAST in CC even though at times its unpredictable, but if WWPing then ... wutever it attacks when it comes out is serously screwed

No, unfortunately the word "fast" has to be in the vehicle description or it can't move the 24". The Raider and Ravager write ups both have "fast" in their descriptions. Since the Talos doesn't have it, it can't move fast.
And while the Talos is a skimmer, the rule says if it starts or ends its movement "in" difficult terrain, it has to take a wound on a d6 roll of a 1. Its not a true skimmer and acts like a walker in CC (doesn't take a 6 to hit it like a normal skimmer as per the FAQ).
