I'm not an Eldar player now, but the harlequins really appeal to me. Does anyone know if their old list from GW's website is still okay to use?
I am sure they will do a Chapter Approved army for Harlequins standard alone army. Can't like chars like the Solitare and Great Harlequin slip away.
As the "own army" list is 100% experimental (never once official in any way), and on the GW site, I see no reason why they aren't still viable.. just beware, as many people will now start refusing to let you use them (where before they'd have been more lenient) simply because they are an official unit in the new Eldar codex.
Not gonna stop me, though.
Well, it stops me, because the Harlequin list is unbalance and at times overpowered.
However, this isn't the place to discuss their tactical advantages and disadvantages.
Basically, Godwyn - Harlequins have never been official, and so have always required your opponent's consent to use. Amongst friends, this is rarely an issue, but when it comes to people you don't know and tourneys, some would allow you and some wouldn't. That number will most likely drop now that Harlequins will be in the new Eldar codex, but they are STILL an army list in their own right - no more or less official than they were before.
Gonna go ahead and close this thread - check out the Harlequins subforum for various Harlequin related discussions.
