Welcome to Librarium Online!
What is the deal? The wording is very complicated for me and I cannot understand what it says. Can anyone please tell me, clearly, what are the rules for the Tau JumpPacks.
Greatest regards, Paul
any tau unit with a jump pack may move 6" in the movement phase, then shoot and then move a further 6" in the assault phase
it basically allows you to pop in and out of cover so you can shoot with minimal risk
its also useful for running like a girl
less hate more kittens
Just a clarification: You may move 6" in the assault faze but you may not move 6" in assault and then 6" more for charging, you can only ever move six.
The people above have pretty much stated it but how is it not clear in the codex??

moving is what you DO in the assault phase
you can either move 6" OR assault as normal
less hate more kittens
Yeah the jump packs r really irritating when u're versing them espiacially if the weares of the jump packs r hidin behind blockin terrain cause then they can just fly over, shoot the ***** out of u, then fly back over safe from harm.

I think the Jetpacks are really nice for 40k in a flash, has anyone else played?
They are pretty much essential. For Crisis suits, Stealth Suits and Drones, being able to walk or fly six inches closer to the enemy in the Movement phase, let rip with your guns, then jump backwards in the Assault phase, out of range of effective reprisals; is cool for you and nasty for them.
You have to practice being able to judge what the maximum range of their weapons are, so you can keep just outside it.
Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?
One small detail is missed, in assult move your must use your jumppack to move unless you want to charge. So if its in difficult terrain at the begining or end of its move you must roll to see it its destroyed
im lost. so basically u can move 6 in movement, then in the assault instead of charging u can move 6?
