    Simple question made fun!

Chaos, Daemonhunters, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Imperial Guard, Necron, Orks, Space Marines, Tau, Tyranid, Witch Hunters,

while it certainly can be vs any army, i prefer to spend the points else where in my army. It buys me an extra wound and a gaunt.
    My armies:
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
    7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
    1,500+ of Legion (just started)

as long as you can spare the points, do it.
if you have to choose between toughness vs. a wound an an extra gaunt, take the wound and gaunt.
i personally give all of my carnifici (plural for carnifex . .? lol) the wound, toughness, and save upgrade.
Nids - 1150 pts (I'm poor, dont laugh)

Ok, from the look of the poll so far its essential against IG Tau and Orks but other armies its kind of optional on what you buy with those points.
It also looks like a waste of points against chaos. dreachon, any comment on that?

Well any army that is strength 3 heavy makes T7 very appealing since they can't wound it. But most srt.3 opponents won't be trying to hit your fex in CC but will be trying to shoot the snot out of it with high strength weaponry. And those that will want to be in CC; powerfisted seargents, chaos lords, etc, will still wound it on a 2 or 3 anyway. So as a general rule I would say its not very useful.
