Welcome to Librarium Online!
Any one know where to get good and decent priced wings for a tyrant or warriors (no forgeworld). I've been looking on ebay for an OOP dragon for real cheap or something, but I don't know if that would work. Thanks!
For warriors some people use gargoyle wings while others use wings converted out of the warrior scything talons, much like the forge world wings but a lot cheaper if you can conver well. I beleive that the blood dragon nightmare wings would also be good but I don't know how large they are comparatively. Here is a link if you want to take a look: Blood Dragon on Winged Nightmare
For tyrants, many people use dragon wings from the fantasy sets or make wings from the scything talons. The big ones that come with warriors are good for this since not many people use them on warriors. Another idea is using clear plastic and green stuff to make mor insect-like wings that would be like a dragon flies or beetle wings

As for green stuff and Scything talons, what do you use the talons as the border then fill in the rest to make it look like a wing? The size comparison on the garg wings is okay. They do look kind of little small and thinner though but they could work. Sorry I don't have experience with the warrior scything talon conversion so hopefully some one who has done it will tell you a little about it.
Those wings look like they will work fine for a tyrant.

But yes, making your own is a fair bit cheaper. The Gargoyle wings IMO would be a little small.
EDIT: Just got off of the phone, so here is a little help from the guy who did it.
Take the larger scything talon of the warrior, and drill the center pivot where the blade meets the arm, and use any kind of wire, preferably modeling wire as it is much stronger, but either will work
After you have the wire how you want it, cut out some plasticard to fit the gaps between the wires and the talon, to fill it out. You can make them however you wish.
After you know where you want your plasticard, mix together some green stuff. Make sure you mix it well, and use it to line the plasticard and the talon/wire, so that the two can bond together well. You can also use green stuff to add texture to the plasticard, but this is optional. Give your new wings time to set, and they should be ready to go. Green stuff is rock hard if you mix it right, and will do the trick for you if you are patient enough with it.
hope this helps, this is word for word what he told me.

You could also try these wings for the Tyranid warriors. They ar Morathi's dark pegasus wings and they look very Tyranid-like, no annoying fur or anthing that has to be removed.
