The math adds up. You even get 4 on the charge.

That just makes them sickening! 3 Strength 4 Attacks basic. So do we think that Scorpions are better than Banshees now? They get a better save and can infiltrate and move through cover. However the Banshees will always strike first in the first round of combat and ignore armour saves...hmm, a tricky one.

    I don't know if they are better than Banshees...they have a better armour save,but they can't fleet...but they can have a power claw!Banshees, with a DoomSeer...!Maybe I'll play with both!:w00t:

Well I sure love Scorps, I'm even having 10 in my 500pt army list (so about half my points. ). They just seem sooo good! And with the Exarches powers and weapons....*drools*.

It's only 4 attacks on the charge if you give the biting blade to the exarch as it's a two-handed weapon.

Though it still kicks ass! ^_^

Hahaha, the good old scorps vs banshees arguement.

Scorps compared to the old codex, many people think they got nerfed by the claw becoming only str6, and then losing haywire grenades, meaning they can't really take on MC's and tanks anymore, putting them in a strictly anti horde role. However, on the upside, they gained +1 attack with the claw (new mandiblaster rules) and free plasma grenades which rocks. They lost the ability to come out of a serpent with a farseer fortuning them because of the recent FAQ.

Banshees, got a better basshee mask, better exarch options and powers and are hugely boosted by doom, far moreso than banshees.

With the new codex, although the two aren't really comparable, I'd say definately banshees are better if you have a farseer with doom, he makes them insanely good. On their own...well... they're pretty even... maybe scorpions... since they're almost equal against meqs and better against hordes, banshees are better against stufff like terminators and such.... Doom makes them... unstoppable....

Space Marines are the gateway drug

No, they don't, it doesn't say it in their weapons description, and it does for the scorpion chainsword, its pretty clear, and it does for the biting blade obviously, as that can get to like str 7 or 8 or something (can't remember).
