Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just reading through the new codex and noticed that the new dex doesnt mention the Wraithlords old Implaceable Advance rule, does this now mean that a Wraithlord can't move and shoot heavy weapons.
It was rendered obsolete by the new rules for monstrous creatures. Check your BGB.
He basically still has implacable advance.
ye, I was looking in the rulebook on page 55 about MC and all it seems to say is they can fire two weapons, though it doesnt mention the word Heavy, so is it because there a MC that they can fire two weapons even if there heavy weapons. (if so would you have the page number that specifies this).
Ah found it on page 9 (Heavy weapons bit Doh! :-) )
thanks for the quick reply
Good to see you found it but on LO when you want to add something to your post use the edit button instead of starting a new one. No-one likes spam.
But they can't fire heavy weapons then assault.

Two flamers can do a lot of damage, plus if you want you're lord in CC you should (IMHO) kit him out with a wraithblade, no heavy weapons.
Shooting heavy weapins on you're way towards it is handy, but if you want him in CC, i would not take a expenisve weapon (say brightlance)
Hope it helps.
"Ask not the Eldar a question, for they will give you three answers; all of which are true and terrifying to know"
I was wrong! But wouldn't have changed my style much as 2 flamers can really put the hurt on near hth. But it could be useful if charging a tank.
I disagree about the not taking the brightlance. The waithlord is the best anti tank unit in the game in some ways. All its wounds and high toughness insure that it survives a couple turns while it clears the way of enemy armor. Then when you get to your enemies line you can flame a unit and charge them. Most units can't touch a waithlord. (if the unit has an IC then kill him first *splat*). I just wish he had his 2 close combat weapons +1 attack back. Made a bit better at clearing a path. You can almost be certain to win hth and then you have a fair chance of running them down. Then just bounce to the next squad.
This can either slaughter there entire battleline or atleast hold them up long enough for the rest of your army to take the objective. This is why i ALWAYS take a waithlord.
