Would an Avatar of Khaine model suit Ynnead?
If Ulthwé keeps saing Ynnead is coming, would they harness his energy or whatever, and make an Avatar of Ynnead?
Also, what would he appear like if so? Even if he wouldn't be used in combat until he comes to kill Slaanesh at the whole Ragnarock du juor, what would he be represented with? So far I say the cold. Khaine's spirit keeps the Eldar alive (sorta) and he burns with the wild flame of war. Thus his Avatar is made of molten lead and nothing fiery harms him. Ynnead, being the essence of Death's icy touch, would probably have the cold as his essence.
Also, a cool Autarch for the part would have:
Hawk wings, Power weapon, Reaper Launcher, Optional Banshee mask.
Think of the shape you could give him.
Post your army lists in the ARMY LIST section! Not that hard!
Ynnead is death, I'd think he'd look grim reaperish, maybe like the night bringer. On that note why dont the C'tan fight chaos. Like couldn't they have an epic brawl, or are the C"tan confined the the material universe? I don't know necrons very well
Space Marines are the gateway drug
If everyone makes fun of West Virginia, who does West Virginia make fun of?
The C'tan hates the Warp more than anything because it's an anthema to them.
An Avatar of Ynnead? Well, no, I don't think so. The Avatar of Khaine is there to keep him alive you could say, because he was splintered into many thousands of pieces when defeated by Slaanesh and the Avatars is what keeps him around.
He is also the War God and he was the most powerful one at the time of the Fall, powerful enough to keep him alive even after defeat. Not even Asuryan, the Phoenix King, could do that.
Ynnead might not even have anything to do with war except defeatign Slaanesh in the Warp.
Not so. The only reason Khaine survived was because of Khorne. Being the Eldar god of War and Bloodshed, Khaine was ultimately an aspect of Khorne. When Slaanesh attacked Khaine, as she did all the Eldar, she harmed Khorne as a result. Khorne was understandably miffed, and so began a cataclysmic battle between Slaanesh and Khorne, with Khaine being the prize. Eventually, Khaine was torn apart in the struggle and those shards of him that survived became the Avatars we know and love. Khaine was nowhere near the most powerful Eldar God; there is mention in the Eldar Myth Cycles of him being defeated both by Asuryan and by Eldanesh, an Eldar champion.
As for the avatar of Ynnead, its a bit of a moot point, isn't it? Ynnead is intended to fight Slaanesh in the Warp- it would never have to manifest itself in the Material Realm. And if you could get an Avatar of Ynnead I'd imagine it would rather be made up of some kind of radiant light; Ynnead is assosciated with hope, reborth and ETERNAL life, rather than death.
"You're very interesting, and very perceptive. So interesting, and so perceptive, in fact, that we shall now fight with KNIVES!"
"I've been dead long before you were born, and I'll be dead long before you'll be dead!"
Regarding Ynnead, Black Librarian is right.
The reason Ynnead is called the God of Death is because he will only come back when every last eldar has died. When this happens however, he will destroy Slaanesh and save the millions of eldar souls that have been consumed by Slaanesh.
As to Khaine being saved by Khorne and whatnot, is there anyway you could let us know the reference material used to get this conclusion? Because I have heard this several times but i have never read anything pertaining to it.
"I am the architect of fate!"
Khaine fought Slaanesh by his own will, to protect the Eldar.
And Eldanesh didn't defeat Khaine, Khaine squished Eldanesh during his ramapge on the Eldar race (he was jelous of them). When Asuryan got to know of this he punished Khaine with the Bloody Hand so no one would forget what he did. Before this, Khaine defeated Vaul, the Eldar smith-god, and bound him to his anvil.
Khaine also imprisoned Isha and whats-his-face and is just pretty much an asshole in general.
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left" Bertrand Russell
We bring only death, and leave only carrion. It is a message even a Human can understand.
Still, about Ynnead. What happens when he finally defeats Slaanesh? I mean the book said every Eldar will have died when this happens. What kind of 'hidden hope' is this when every last Eldar has snuffed it? They can't rebuild their empire when they're DEAD.
Then they can be safly reborn in teh Warp. Before the Fall, every Eldar was reborn through the Warp. When Slaanesh arrived, this changed. If it is defeated, then all Eldar cen be reborn again.
