in your opinion is the ghosthelm better or worse?
personally i think its worse no longer can a farseer charge a demon prince and say "hahah you hit me on 5s and i hit you on 3s!" then wounding on 2s and ignoring saves with the witch blade!
I love Pathfinders.

i can't remember ever being in close combat against a demon with my farseer, i always took the ghost helm for its protection from warp attacks so i think its better.
I have to agree with insanity, I never got into combat with any daemon so i never really had the bonus that it provided there, (although it was funny to point out to a daemonhunter friend that it had the same effect as the grimoire of true names and more for less points!). Besides, even with a ghosthelm and an enhancing warlock, you couldnt make any daemon prince hit you on fives, (it cut the weapon skill in half, rounding up), and the witchblade never ignored armour saves. Now that the farseer has a toughness that allows him to be instant killed by a warp attack, the extra point on the roll is more than worth it.
Ghosthelm got slightly worse.
Although it was optional in the old codex.
Now that we get instant killed when PoWed the ghosthelm is vital (although we get it as base).
So in a way it is now a lot better as it does so much more. Even though its slightly weaker.
Although the ghosthelm is now slightly weaker (in my opinion) it does so much more for a farseer than it used to.

Yeah, I think it got a bit better, at protecting at least, and that extra protection is really needed since they get squished by perils of the warp. Not that I've ever even seen a farseer in combat with a daemon, but its old ability was pretty cool.
And lordlink, I would find that last post a bit offensive, even though it was a joke.

I edited it out although I didn't think it was offensive. Oh well i'm not out to make enemies here so away it goes.
If greymonk or any mods want to know what it was just PM me.
I never got a farseer in cc with a daemon either. At least not that I remembered to use it (damn chaos lords with so much wargear).
If you were ever getting your Farseer into H2H ith demons you were ballsey..its better in that its "free' and it helps to mitigate a bit of the suck the toughnesss drop brings. I never tried H2H with my Farseer except for vehicles.
