Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am doing a poll to see what you think of Yriel.
I have read through his rules and think he rules.
I have not seen any of you feild him though in your battles.
If you want, tou can post what he has done or not done.
So what do you think.
Posts are welcome.:w00t:
Hes really good because he has a witch blade that ignores armour so basicly he hits on 3's and wounds on 2's,
and he has that nice big template that he can activate:shifty:
he's good, but he's too slow for my taste, i like to put my autarch with my warp spiders or my shining spears, I guess you could put him with the harlequins, but thats over kill IMO, because the harlequins can already kill alot on their own, So i guess you'd have to put him with banshees or striking scorpions, i think the banshee phoenix lord benifits them better because she gives them furious assault. And if you put him with scorpions then the scorpions can't infiltrate. So even though his stats are good i don't know where you'd put him.
I like him in principle. Not to expensive, possibly effective but very fragile and not very mobile.
Generally a balanced fellow in my opinion.
he's not very tough, i've killed him in battle(p.s. i'm space marines)
althoagh, he was a worthy opponent.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
As for Yriel, I rather like the sound of him, used in the right cicumstances.. someone mentioned new Iyanden tactica recently, teaming him up with a wraithguard squad in a wave serpent helps to offset the wraithguard's lack of close combat ability in a huge way.
I can see him really coming into his own against Space Wolves. If he charges a unit of them, they'll use Counter Attack to close in on him. I'd hate to be those Astartes, as the Eye of Wrath is going to tear that entire unit a new one.
I probably still wouldn't field him since I find the Avatar's 'inspiring' ability to be bulletproof and his overall CC nastiness a huge boon. Oh, and I am in platonic love with my hetero life-mate...my farseer. That guy kicks butt and makes me weak in the knees with his keen wit!
cheers and good luck!

I like the look of him on paper but personally am Unlikely to field him due to my love of Two Farseers... once of which is probably Eldrad... So many psychic powers per turn benefits my list much better than any other specialist (though Jain Zar and Kahandras do make an occasional appearance as they too are uber cool!)
