One of my friends play necrons against me and, well, I've been wooping his ass every time. I just thought I could get some pointers for him from you guys so he can have more fun instead of getting slaughtered. I use a very balanced list of warriors, a carnifex, termagaunts, rippers, a lictor, a zoanthrope, and a brood lord + a retinue.
If i ply against Nid´s i usualy find myself an good spot and use masses of warrior fire and destroyers also work very good against nid´s.
He could also try to field an Monolith but then he has to watch the Zoanthrope´s Warp Blast.

First what point limit are you playing with?
I would tell him to use destroyers and a squad of immortals with a viel of darkness
All those AP 4 shots are going to ripe right through the majority of nid saves.
He should take 2-3 heavy destroyers for the Carnifex and Zoanothrope.
The veil in his immortal squad will also allow him to get other units out of close combat.
Necrons benefit from larger games, because phase out becomes nothing to worry about, and you get the full potential of your most powerful units. To take Tyranids out as Necrons, you're going to play your strengths to the fullest.
Do not underestimate scarabs. They can hole up units long enough for Warriors to get into position, or even wound units to the point where it's useless.
Rending hurts Warriors, bad. Luckily, that's why there's Immortals! Protect the Immortals until the Lictors and Genestealers show up. Hopefully they'll get enough wounds to take out the squad.
Have small warrior squads. This is to keep close combat short, and lets nearby squads take out remaining Genestealers.
Take out Synapse. It doesn't look like there is a very big Synapse shield for the Termagants, with only one Zoanthrope and some Warriors. Take those out first, Task some Flayers or on the first turn, Immortals.
