Against Marines: include Heavy Destroyers and Tomb Spyders. Don't take Phase Scythes for your Lords. Use one normal Lord and one destroyer Lord. Definitely include A unit of Immortals and one unit of destroyers. Don't forget to equip your Lords with Resurrection orbs.

    That should work...

Against Deathwing I'd take the Warscythe, maybe even a unit of Pariahs. Chopping up Termanators can get difficult with anything but the power of C'tan weaponry...

I suppose I would try to stay at range and Veil/Lith-port any squads out of CC.

I don't know how many points yer playin, but This combo works well:

    2x Lord w/ res orb

AND ALL THE REST OR YOUR POINTS IN WARRIORS SQUADS.

In 2k points this is around 100 models on the board.......... with W.B.B. rolls it's almost as good as having 150 models......

Against Deathwing a full squad of pariahs would not be a bad investment. Sure, Deathwing's mostly termies but you can split them into 3 catagories:

    1. Termies with storm bolters and powerfists or Storm Shield/Thunder Hammer. Pariah bait. Alternatively enough flayed ones woud work well, but see the next entry.

    2. Termies with Lighting claws/power weaps. These are a tougher nut to crack. Since these guys strike at initiative 4 and have power weapons, pariahs should be kept far away from them. Flayed ones are also a bad bet because they still get cut to pieces by the termies and their "terrifying visage" does not affect the deathwing as they are fearless. The best thing for these guys is some Heavy Destroyer fire on their bone-white asses.

    3. Termies with Cyclone Missile Launchers/autocannons. If you don't take out these guys early on, they can become a problem; as amany missile launchers as they've got makes life scary. Don't hesitate to tie them up with flayed ones as early as possible, as they have no hand to hand weapons.

The problem with Deathwing terminators is that they have no terminator assault squads or terminator squads, just deathwing squads. If your opponent is using the squads that are a mix of all the capabilities, such as some power fists, some lightning claws, and some assault cannons or missile launchers, use either shooting or hand to hand, whichever you prefer. If the squads are split up and specialized, counter them with specific elements of your army. As we orks say "Shoot the assaulty 'uns, an' assault the shooty 'uns."

Keep in mind that deathwing armies can also include Dreadnoughts and Land Raiders, be prepared to deal with these as well.

Immortals are great with there T5. Make sure you get heavy Ds and stay out of hth. You can stall any charactors or a whoel squad with scarbs and it will take them alot of turns to kill.

Ok guys, thanks for all ya ideas, i played the game 1500 pts,

    I took 2 x 14 necrons

    5 destroyers

destroyer lord: warsyth, phase shifter, and the thing that regenerates back to 3 wounds if y lucky( forgot what its called)

    6 pariaths

    Monalith

    2x tomb spiders.

i won very easily, i didnt take heavy destroyers coz normall destroyers have 15 shots from the 5 and thats about 8 save throughs going by the odds, all i neded was some good luck to kill about 2 or 3 termies from them and it worked.
And with the pariaths i sheilded them with warriors so they couldnt charge em. so i charge him next turne and get more hits in.
Tomb spiders just for there monsterous creture ability.
