Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, I have just participated in a freaking kick ass mega battle at my hobby store and just can't get over the fact that I want a titan! The most affordable and liking titan I see is the BioTitan for the nids.
Ok now here is where I ask ;
- Has anyone used this amazing model?
- What do you feel are its strengths and weaknesses?
- Do the experimental rules match closely to the real ones or is the real deal much better?
If its legal, can anyone give me the experimental ones? Any help would be great as I wanna know what I might be buying before I actually spend a crap load of money.
Which Bio-titan for the nids are you talking about, there are several. I assume your talking about the HIEROPHANT but then again, theres also the Trygon, and several other weaker ones.
Here's the link to Forgeworld, so that you can look at the Bio-titans, and see the prices for them.
Forge World TYRANIDS
Legion Of Everblight: Abyslonia
Protectorate of Menoth: Grand Exemplar Kreoss
The Heirophant is what I'm after. I've already gone through all the nid creatures and just want some gaming knowledge of the beast.
Mne is in the gallery so you can check how it looks.
It's a great model adn a beutifull centerpiece to any nid army, if you can afford it and want one then take it, you know you want to.
I find that it's biggest factor like all other superheavies is fear.
Players will be scared by it and direct as much firepower as they can towards it.
Also the experimental rules aren't even legal anymore so people can easily say not to play against it and yes they do vary a bit but not too much.
If your gonan use it you'll have to agree with your opponent in using 2 detachments which will allow him to also take a superheavy or a 2nd FoC.
I just got me one of those Hierophants. I have to agree with Dreachon that it is a cool model from what I have seen, note I still have many hours of work on mine before it is even constructed.
It has loads of detail, makes me drool as I contemplate what to do to it. It also seems to require a base which doesn't come with it which at first might seem bad. But in truth this means an excuse to create a little scene or a big one, it's legs are huge.
It's worth getting one I think just for all the work and the challenge of doing it.
yea like leech said lots of detail, you'll be painting this thing for hours. have fun though
